Brand creation for a local family-friendly farm park.

The Story

Little Owl Farm Park began back in 2013 when owners Mandy & Jim decided that they wanted to make use of the land they had surrounding their old business in Ombersley, Worcester. With the family background being involved in farming, they decided to take up the idea of a farm park in order to create an educational and fun day out for parents and children alike whilst being able to care for creatures both large and small. This is where our creative team came in to help design a memorable brand identity for Little Owl Farm Park.

The Direction

The Pixel Design team were approached by Little Owl Farm Park after searching online for local branding companies. We sat down with them to discuss their needs and to explain how our team could help them achieve their goals and help to launch & market their business.

They loved the expertise and advice that was given to them and the attention to detail & creativity shown in previous work for other customers. Together, we started the journey of working together on all areas of marketing, print, web & design projects.

The Journey

Upon Start the Journey with Little Owl Farm Park, the Pixel Design team set out with the creation of a new brand identity for the park. They already knew that they wanted a bright and eye-catching logo, suitable for children and incorporating an Owl (who was already at the farm) named Bob Google. The team went to work and produced a variety of designs that used bright colours, featured a quirky character & bold text to capture the fun loving nature of the park.

With a multitude of preliminary ideas, through the design process the final idea was chosen; the logo now features a white, red & green colour combo with Bob Google Owl presented in the middle. Having completed the logo project, it was time to roll the design elements from this into all of the marketing, website, entrance signage and leaflets, creating a consistant brand presence across all media.

After opening, the Park hit the ground running and soon requested other marketing materials and design work from us which resulted in the creation of 16 more characters to use on a map brochure, entry stickers & annual passes for guests, branded polo shirts for employees and more signage than you can shake a stick at.

The Destination

4 years on and the Pixel Team are still working with Little Owl Farm Park on their online & offline marketing, and continuing to help their business stay fresh by bringing new ideas to the table. They are also now a nettl:concierge client meaning that they have priority access from our team when required.
