Google loves responsive websites. So much so that it favours them over non-responsive ones.
Recently Google have announced that in May, they will be releasing another new algorithm update that will continue to increase the importance of having a responsive site, and those that are not responsive will be further penalised and rank even lower than before. All of this is to promote a positive user experience for the consumers, making sure that they come away thinking that they would happily go on that website again.
