SUNDAY 1ST DECEMBER 2019

The one when we completed the…

5K Santa
Fun Run

On Sunday 1st December we participated in the ‘KEMP Hospice 5K Santa Gold Fun Run’ in Kidderminster!

KEMP Hospice celebrated their 50th Anniversary with 600 people taking part in this magical event. Representing Nettl of Kidderminster team was Dan, Olivia, Linzi and Katie. We accepted the challenge dressed in our Santa outfits, but with the slight addition of our branded backpack flag, so all could see who we were nestled amongst the crowd of other running / briskly walking Santas!

It was quite a chilly day, but once the race started so did the sweat under our beards – we even bought a little reindeer (Milo) with us to join in with the fun. It was a really rewarding experience to be a part of and something that we all should get in the habit of doing especially this time of the year, we truly don’t realise how much of an impact even donating a few pounds makes to these families that desperately seek support and care.

Hopefully you saw that we started a JustGiving page. Our initial target was £150 but ended up raising a whopping £215! All money raised will go towards KEMP Hospice and help to keep providing this free-of-charge specialist care and support to those dealing with life-limiting illness and bereavement. Thank you again to everyone that wished us luck and generously donated, you can still donate here until the 13th January 2020 if you missed the post!

A little bit about Kemp Hospice…

KEMP Hospice is a local charity based in Wyre Forest that supports families and provides them with services that are free of charge to those with life limiting conditions such as heart disease, lung disease, kidney or liver failure, cancer, Motor Neurone Disease. They work 4 days a week taking care of up to 15 patients on a daily basis. What’s even more amazing is that they use a patient-centred approach in which the patient chooses the care and support they wish to receive.
