First impressions DO count…

These days, once someone clicks on your website they have already judged you on first impressions! It is likely that the end user is already searching for businesses like yours and they are making a decision on whether you look like you can help them, not necessarily whether you can!

If your website is difficult to navigate, if you have to pinch and zoom to read the text, then you are putting yourself at a disadvantage. It is not too late to fix!

Customers want more than your phone number…

Most customers now will want to interact with you more online. They do not want to enquire about a booking, they want live availability to book there and then! They want to make a purchase, reserve or book online in a click of a button, even more importantly whilst they are on the go using their mobiles!

If you have looked at this in the past and thought it was out of your grasp, think again! Technology has moved on leaps and bounds and booking systems and online tools have become easier to integrate into your website and cheaper!

What will it cost and how long will it take?

There are a few things that will influence both of these questions. The first is how big your site is – the bigger the site, the more data or products involved, the more work is involved and therefore the more it costs. A small site can start at just a few hundred pounds and larger sites can run into the thousands depending on requirements and functionality!

It can also depend on how organised you as a client are? If you have written your text in a word document, chosen all of your images and saved them as JPEGs, we can get started quicker and it will cost less!

Have a look at your website on your mobile or tablet, see how easy it is to navigate around, can you click and contact or book straight away or are there barriers that flag up? The key is to make the experience for the target audience as easy as possible and remembering the majority of us are probably accessing your website on our mobiles!

Do you have to pinch and zoom?
Can you read the text?
How easy is it to book or purchase online?
Can you find what you are looking for quickly?

These are important factors to ask yourself when reviewing your website! Don’t be afraid, some of these things can be quick and easy updates and make a huge difference!
